Helix Clubs
-
We have two different types of clubs at Helix:
Student-Run Clubs - These clubs meet during lunchtime and while they have a staff member as an advisor, they are primarily run by students. See below for a list of all our student-run clubs.
ASPIRE Programs - These programs meet before and after school. We have extra funding for these clubs, so the supervisor is an industry professional instead of a student. There is also funding for special equipment and supplies. See the ASPIRE page for that schedule.

Academic League
Students on Helix's Academic League team compete in quiz-bowl style matches against teams from other schools, answering questions about a wide variety of academic topics, from mythology to biology to current events. On both the JV (grades 9 and 10) and Varsity (grades 11 and 12) teams, players compete on teams of five, buzzing in to answer both individual and team questions which showcase the depth and breadth of students' knowledge. As the home of "academic athletes" Varsity players earn letters for this academic sport.
