Academic League
Students on Helix's Academic League team compete in quiz-bowl style matches against teams from other schools, answering questions about a wide variety of academic topics, from mythology to biology to current events. On both the JV (grades 9 and 10) and Varsity (grades 11 and 12) teams, players compete on teams of five, buzzing in to answer both individual and team questions which showcase the depth and breadth of students' knowledge. As the home of "academic athletes" Varsity players earn letters for this academic sport.
