Upcoming Events:

  •

Scottie Pride Day - Thursday, August 1st from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Gym

We hope all of our Freshmen will join us for this fun and informative orientation! We will cover important information about the first day of school and explain where things are located on campus. Students will get a chance to meet each other and do fun team-building activities. Pizza lunch will be served. This event is for students only - no parents or siblings please. They can be dropped off at the front of school in the large solar parking lot and will meet in the gym.

Chromebook Distribution Day for New Students: Saturday, August 3rd from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in the Library (300)

We will be passing out Chromebooks and taking time to get students set up on the campus wireless network and logged into their Helix Google accounts.

First Days of School - Thursday, Aug. 8 & Friday, Aug, 9

School starts on Thursday, August 8 at 8:30am. Here is the 2024-2025 School Calendar & A/B Day Schedule and Daily Bell Schedule. All students should review their schedules on or before the first day of school for any changes that may have occurred. Students can view their schedules electronically in StudentVUE. This instructional video shows them how to navigate to their schedules from our website. Thursday is a B day.

We have some exciting activities planned for the first two days. These "Welcome Back Days" will have a shortened bell schedule (detailed below), with the last two hours of each day dedicated to fun activities for everyone. Our focus will be on connecting students with staff and peers, building a strong community and culture, reigniting school spirit, and ensuring all students feel welcome and safe. We know that when students get involved, they are happier and more successful in high school, so this is an opportunity for them to check out some of the activities we have available on campus. Students may leave after 4th period if they choose, but we encourage them to stay and join in the fun! Once they leave, they may not return.

    Thursday, August 8

After 4th period, students can explore Helix’s clubs and ASPIRE program offerings and complete any necessary tasks such as getting their Chromebook, student ID, or a free period sticker if needed. Please review this club list so they have an idea of what they'd like to do:

  • Friday, August 9

After 4th period, we'll celebrate our ASPIRE program fall lineup with free games, face painting, airbrushing, a photo booth, and more. ASPIRE program leaders will be available to answer questions and help students register. Food trucks, ice cream, and sno-cones will be available for purchase (we will have already served lunch from the cafeteria, these will be additional food options). We will also have fun activities set up all over campus. Please ask your students to review this activity list so they have an idea of what they'd like to do:
