Student Equity Advisory Team Accepting Applications
The purpose of the Student Equity Advisory is to elevate the voices of students as partners in their own education and to inform our practices at Helix. We are now accepting applications to be a part of the team.
Students will meet throughout the year to provide feedback to Helix Leadership on school practices, policies and procedures that impact their experiences at Helix. As a Student Equity Advisory member you will be accepting a yearlong position with a commitment to attend meetings. Applications are open to all students in all grade levels. Limited to 3-5 participants per grade level. Complete the application here.
Sports Physicals - July 24
Pre-participation physical exams are required to participate in athletics. Helix athletics is hosting on-campus physicals on Monday, July 24 at 2:30 p.m. in the Sports Medicine classroom 1160. The cost is $35, cash only. Forms must be completed prior to seeing the doctor. You can find all forms and clearance information here - helixathletics.net.

Senior Portrait Information
During the week of August 14th-18th, Helix will provide an opportunity for seniors to take pictures on campus. These will be standard Senior Pictures without outfit changes (similar to what Helix has provided in the past). There is no charge for this. Another option is to use our preferred photography service Cherished Memories. They have appointments available during the summer. These sittings include a change of attire and more personalization. Sitting fees start at $30 and include multiple props, poses, and two outfits. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 951-304-4133.
Food Reminders
Students will need to know their ID number to get meals at school. They can choose either breakfast or nutrition break meal at no charge (not both). If they have food restrictions we should know about, please complete this form and send it to your grade level team.
Back To School Welcome Back Days - Thursday, Aug 10 & Friday, Aug 11
School starts on Thursday, August 10, and we have some exciting things planned for the first two days back. These will be “Welcome Back Days” and the schedules will be slightly revised. Please click here for details. We will focus on connecting students to staff and peers, building community and culture, reigniting school spirit and making all students feel welcome and safe. Students will attend their regular classes but we will have a shortened bell schedule and the last part of the day will be packed with fun activities that students can participate in. On Friday, Aug. 11, we'll celebrate our exciting new ASPIRE club lineup with free games, a rockwall, obstacle courses, face painting and pizza from 12-3pm. ASPIRE club leaders will be set up to answer questions & help students register. Ice cream and sno-cones will be available to purchase.
ASPIRE Club Fall Schedule
ASPIRE Clubs are made possible through a grant, which allows Helix to provide high quality before and after school clubs free of charge for all students. Check out the Fall 2023 schedule here. Students must have a Helix email address to register. Incoming Freshmen will get their email account set up during Chromebook distribution day (schedule can be found here).
