We at Helix are excited about the opportunity the Senior Project provides to all seniors to do significant work in an area of their own choosing. This project gives students a sense of accomplishment as they demonstrate their knowledge and skills to their community.

Through their social studies and English classes, all seniors will complete the Senior Project, which consists of a product or performance, a research paper, a portfolio, and an oral presentation. The social studies class monitors and supports the project and portfolio, while the English class will deliver instruction for the research paper. Students will receive speech instruction during quarter four and perform dress rehearsals before their final presentations.

The Senior Project is a graduation requirement, and completion of the Senior Project will be indicated on the transcript. The student must satisfactorily complete all four components of the Senior Project to be eligible for graduation.
