ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS: Class ring packets are available now in the Library and the front office. Pick up a packet and check out the new and classic styles of class rings available for the classes of 2011 and 2012. MB
ASPIRE FILM CLASS: Race and Tolerance Through Film. Wednesdays from 3 - 5pm in room 1635. Pick up a parent permission slip from Ms. Lazzarini - room 1635. The next film is "Mississippi Burning" - The story is loosely based on the real-life murders of three civil rights
workers in Mississippi in 1964. After they reported missing, two FBI agents are sent to investigate the incident and face the powerful influence of the KKK in rural Jessup County, Mississippi. Go to youtube to view the preview. See you there!

CLUB & SPORTS MEETINGS
INVISIBLE CHILDREN: "Where you live should not determine if you live." Do you want to help people in desperate need? Do you want to make a difference? Do you want to be a Child’s hero? If so, join Invisible Children. Meetings are held in room 1625 on Tuesdays at lunch. JD
Club College is going to start this Wednesday from 3-7 in the Library and will run every Wednesday through November 17th at that time. KG
M.E.Ch.A CLUB: Join us for our meeting on Wednesday during lunch in room 60. AV
HELIX UKULELE CLUB meeting Wednesday at lunch in Room 800. All interested students should attend. If you have a UKE, bring it with you. No experience necessary. JL

Cuyamaca College Ambassador will be in the Career Center the first and second Tuesday of every month. Sign up in 201 to see them.
Reiss SAT Seminars at Valhalla are open to Schools in the Grossmont District At only $139 starting Tuesday, September 28th. Limited seating…application info in the Career Center.
Christermon Scholarship is offered to Seniors who will be attending a 4 yr. college or transferring from a community college to a 4yr college. Must have a 3.0+, essay & a parent or grandparent working in an industry that has a liquor license (restaurant, grocery store, airline etc) Deadline Feb. 1st.
The Prudential Spirit of community Scholarship is now available to 9-12 graders who have made a difference in our community with leadership & service. You may win a $1,000 & a trip to Washington, DC. Deadline November 1st.
Practice SAT – If you took the practice ACT / SAT on Saturday, 8/28 you should plan to attend the results workshop on Thursday, Sept. 9th from 6 - 7pm in room 1600. Your test results will be available for review and there will be discussion strategies for how to interpret your results and improve your score. Parents are Welcome to attend.
University of Notre Dame representative will be in the San Diego area on Monday, Sept. 13th at 7:00pm at St. Augustine High School, Rm. 315.

Just another reminder to provide your Parking tag information to Earline Room 125.
Parking tags- Campus Security will be checking for parking tags in the school lots starting Wednesday. If you do not have a tag stop by Room 125 with the following information- License plate, Year, Color, Make and Model of car or truck. Also please make sure that the tag number can be seen from your rear view mirror. KJ

We are selling ROI Discount Cards. The cards sell for $20.00 each and provide buy one get one free and other types of discounts to local businesses here in La Mesa and Lemon Grove.
