Helix High School is located in La Mesa, California. Built in 1952, Helix is the second comprehensive high school in the Grossmont Union High School District. Currently, GUHSD has eleven high schools and serves over 20,000 students. Helix, with 2,400 students, retains much of its original 1950's character in appearance but has evolved as a leader in student academic achievement and professional development.
